Microsoft pulls Vista SP1 update

The post two down was the second story I heard about people having problems. Is this the first trip around the bowl as they head for the drain?

M$ isn't headed for the drain, simply because the drain is small, and their market is the whole freaking ocean. Apple critics talk about 'drinking the kool-aid'. MS users drink tap water for the same effect.

What someone SHOULD point out is that bloated operating systems continue to be the bane of mondern existence. M$ 'tried' to reduce the bloat with their multi-flavour OS, but ended up increasing complexity while maintaining the bloat.

I miss the good old days when you could run a Mac on one 400K floppy.

And keep switching floppies every 3-30 seconds when you wanted to save or transfer info to another floppy?

Supporting microsoft products provides too much job security to too many people for it to circle the drain anytime soon. That, plus there are too many managers who have brains the size of squirrels.
